Film Location
The Chantry has been used for many TV appearances ranging from BBC's Flog It to Most Haunted.
As a film location you have a house dating from 1702, the gardens, a secluded walled garden area, the 200 year old Temple of Vaccinia, a rustic hut which looks vaguely African and the 300 year old attic rooms that are very atmospheric, described by one director as "ideal for Dr Who"
In addition there is the 13th Century Church St Mary's next door that is reached through our garden gate with no roads to negotiate creating a timeless and rural ambience. Berkeley Town itself still retains a traditional layout and the High Street dates back to Norman times with Georgian frontages.
