CURRENT MUSEUM VACANCIES
2010 marks the 30th anniversary of the World Health Organization's successful global eradication of smallpox. To celebrate, the museum will be launching a series of exciting events and activities throughout the year. We therefore need enthusiastic candidates for the following positions:
1) Finance Officer - Part-time position Ref EJM/FO
The museum is currently looking for a Finance Officer two days per week and one weekend per month (April-October). This role will also involve being a key holder, dealing with the public, taking bookings, and assisting with the day-to-day running of the museum.

2) Assistant Director - Full-time position, 40 hours per week. Salary £20K per annum. Ref EJM/AD
The Assistant Director will deputise for the Museum Director in her absence. Responsibilities will include assisting with the day-to-day running of the museum, including overseeing the museum shop and reception area; identifying potential new revenue areas; assisting with fundraising; devising ways of promoting the museum and its activities; co-ordinating print advertising; and facilitating bookings to the Old Cyder House Conference & Education centre.

Interviews will take place on Thursday 4 March 2010
In addition, volunteers are always needed to assist with a variety of aspects of the museum from gardening to fundraising. Working with us as a volunteer shows how the museum works behind the scenes, as well as meeting some interesting people from all walks of life. It is also an excellent way to gain experience for those hoping to break into the heritage/tourism sectors.
