The Sasakawa conference centre is set in the grounds of Edward Jenner's former home, The Chantry (now The Edward Jenner Museum) in Berkeley. It contains two function rooms, a smaller meeting/breakout room, and cloakroom facilities. It is located just off the A38, within easy reach of the M4 and M5 motorways. The first floor function room is equipped as a lecture theatre with moveable seating for up to 60. The room can be easily blacked out and lighting is adjustable. A whiteboard and screen are fitted. A digital slide projector, an overhead projector and flip charts are also available. Boardroom-style meetings are also possible.
The lower room can be used as a refreshment room or for meetings. It can hold up to 30 lounge chairs and a number of coffee tables. Buffet meals can be served here.
We can serve teas and coffees with biscuits, and the premises are licensed for the supply of alcohol with meals. An excellent and adaptable range of buffet meals can be arranged to suit your requirements. We try to be flexible with our booking and pricing arrangements, but the following will form the basis for our charges.
Wine with meal (per 125ml glass) - £1.80 Fruit Juice(per 125ml glass) - 60p The conference facilities can be hired for private social functions, or for use by local clubs and charities, at reduced rates. The conference centre can also be used for taking pre-booked tea or coffee breaks, or buffet meals, in conjunction with a group visit to the museum.
